Application of Competition Law in Technology Markets

Professor Pinar Akman's project will study the application of competition law to technology (specifically, online) markets in order to provide a principled framework to guide the application of competition law in these markets to avoid decisional errors to the detriment of society. The main research question of the project is whether, and if so how, existing rules and enforcement tools of competition law can effectively prevent or enjoin anticompetitive conduct in technology markets, particularly those markets concerning online services.
