Submissions information
Submissions and review process:
Submissions for the next journal will be sourced from final year undergraduate dissertations submitted by the University of Leeds Law School students. Dissertations that are deemed as outstanding pieces of academic writing will be recommended and put forward to the journals’ review process.
Following the recommendation each piece of work will peer-reviewed and then be reviewed by the Editorial Board. If successful, the editorial board will work closely with successful authors to provide constructive feedback and ensure that the submission meets the requirements of the Journal before being published. Submissions will be subject to amendments and modifications, which could include changes to substantive content as well as structural and grammatical changes.
Submissions need to conform to the House Style and use the Oxford Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities (OSCOLA) referencing if a legal paper and Harvard referencing if a criminology paper.
