Policing Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies

Using Bitcoin as a case study, this interdisciplinary and cross-sectoral co-productive project is analysing new cryptocurrencies to understand their potential for use in criminal activity and also their forensic needs.
The project brings together the Leeds Cyber Research team with Greater Manchester Police, the Law School at Liverpool University and Computing Science at Birmingham City University.
It will generate academic outputs as well as good practice guidelines for understanding and policing cryptocurrencies.
