Pathways in Mathematics 14-19, Phase 2

The Mathematics Education team at Leeds, through the two Pathways projects, has had a major involvement at national level in the reform of the mathematics curriculum and its assessment for 14-19 year-olds in England and Wales.

The team has had significant and original input into new ideas such as functional mathematics and the development of stretching and challenging assessmens within the curriculum for 16 and 18 year-olds respectively.

The team has also advised the goverment's national curriculum agency, the Qualifications and Curriuclum Authority (QCA), on ICT and mathematics and mathematics within the vocational strands of the wider curriculum.
