Interests and Recruitment in Science (IRIS)

The IRIS project is one of a network of six projects around Europe examining the factors influencing recruitment, retention and gender equity in science, technology and mathematics higher education.

This network will conduct a worldwide survey of university students' perspectives on course choices. In addition a series of case studies and literature reviews will be conducted. The IRIS team at the University of Leeds will focus on the impact of school science experiences and recruitment initiatives on student course choices.
