The Centre for Business Law and Practice Hosts Professor Steven Schwarcz as a ‘Liberty Fellow’
This month Professor Steven Schwarcz from Duke University begins his ‘Liberty Fellowship’ at the School of Law, University of Leeds.
Hosted by the Centre for Business Law and Practice, Professor Schwarcz will deliver a number of online seminars and will engage with staff members and PhD students.
On 10 February at 4 pm, Professor Schwarcz will deliver a presentation on ‘Regulating Digital Currencies: Central Bank-Sponsored and Stablecoins’, which will be followed with commentary from Dr Jason Allen (Humboldt University, Berlin). The seminar will be moderated by Dr Suren Gomtsian, University of Leeds. The seminar is open to the public. Register now.
On 16 February at 4 pm, Professor Schwarcz will deliver a seminar on ‘Practicing at the New York Bar’. This will only be open to students and staff at the University of Leeds. The seminar will be moderated by Trevor Clark, University of Leeds.
On 24 February at 4 pm, Professor Schwarcz will deliver a seminar on ‘“Macromedical” Regulation’, alongside his colleague from Duke University, Professor Barak Richman. This seminar will be moderated by Professor Jose Miola, University of Leeds. It is co-hosted by the Centre for Business Law and Practice and the Centre for Law and Social Justice.
