About us
Urgent global challenges like climate change, refugee crises, global health and the rise of populism demand not only practical answers, but also answers of a fundamentally theoretical nature. Our work aims to formulate and shape the frameworks through which these issues are articulated, negotiated and contested.
Our members take a broad-ranging and inclusive approach to the study of political theory, animated by our guiding commitment to engaged scholarship and public discourse. We strive to foster dialogue and innovation across different approaches to theorising the politics of contemporary global challenges.
We contribute a diverse and innovative programme of political theory modules to the School’s undergraduate degrees and at postgraduate level offer an interdisciplinary Masters in Social and Political Thought.
We have a vibrant community of postgraduate researchers and offer supervision, researcher training and development in a range of areas connected to our research.
If you would like to get in touch with the group please contact Dr Kerri Woods (k.woods[at]leeds.ac.uk).
