TLANG Project: Lang-scape Curators in Harehills

Members of the TLANG project team to deliver creative arts workshops on the semiotic landscapes of Leeds and Harehills.

From 26 to 28 October members of the TLANG project team in the School of Education have been working with creative practitioners Louise Atkinson and Helen Clarke to deliver creative arts workshops on the semiotic landscapes of Leeds and Harehills. These workshops are developed in partnership with IntoUniversity Leeds East and are funded by Educational Engagement at the University of Leeds, supported by the Social Sciences Cluster.

In these workshops we have been building on our research into the linguistic landscapes of Leeds and inviting young people to become researchers themselves, through photography, visual arts and spoken word poetry. More information about the project is available on the TLANG project blog here.
