Professor Pinar Akman speaks at international workshop at the European University Institute
Professor Akman was an invited speaker at an international workshop on e-commerce at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence, Italy.
The workshop took place on 3 March 2017 and was co-organised by the EUI and Assonime (the Association of the Italian joint stock companies with around 450 members). The workshop was organised as part of the ENTraNCE project, a new hub where European and international competition enforcers and other stakeholders can exchange ideas, share best-practices, debate emerging policy issues and enhance their networks.
The subject matter of the workshop was the European Commission’s recent e-commerce sector inquiry which culminated in a preliminary report in September 2016. Professor Akman’s presentation focused on e-commerce in digital content and in particular, the relationship between copyright law and competition law.
