At the invitation of Harvard University Professor, Ruth Okediji, the School of Law’s Professor Graham Dutfield delivered a presentation at a workshop on Traditional Knowledge and Modern Justice.
The title of his address, which he delivered on 14 April at Harvard Law School, was "Seeking justice through intellectual property law: are we looking in the wrong place?".
The workshop brought together many of the world's leading experts on traditional knowledge and law with a view to influencing the drafting of an international convention on the subject. It is likely the treaty will be adopted at a diplomatic conference of the United Nations in India in 2024.
