Professor Pinar Akman provides competition law training to judges in Georgia
Professor Pinar Akman provided competition law training to judges from all levels of the Georgian judiciary in the Kakheti Region of Georgia on 9 November 2019.
The training was part of a programme of European Union aid to support the Competition Agency of Georgia.
Professor Akman, Director of the Centre for Business Law and Practice, and Director at the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in Digital Governance, offered lectures on seminal competition law cases concerning the European Union prohibition of abuse of a dominant position as applied in the context of technology businesses. The lectures were attended by judges, assistant judges, and officials of the Competition Agency of Georgia.
