Professor Akman to author White Paper for World Economic Forum
Professor Pinar Akman has been commissioned by the World Economic Forum to author a White Paper on Competition Policy in a Globalized, Digitalized Economy.
The White Paper will discuss the challenges and benefits that digitalization engenders for different aspects of competition law and policy, and will present an overview of some of the possible solutions that could tackle the particular challenges. The White Paper will contribute to the World Economic Forum’s ‘Shaping the Future of International Trade and Investment System Initiative’. The Paper will benefit from feedback from various stakeholders including international organisations, businesses, practitioners, academia, and others.
Professor Pinar Akman, Director of the Centre for Business Law and Practice, presented the outline of the White Paper at a workshop with stakeholders in Geneva on 8 July 2019. The White Paper is due in December 2019.
