School of Law renews key international agreements with Northwestern University of Politics and Law
The renewed collaboration strengthens academic ties and creates new opportunities for collaborative learning and research between Leeds and the Northwestern University of Politics and Law.
The School of Law is pleased to announce the renewal of its Transnational Education (TNE) agreements with the Northwestern University of Politics and Law (NWUPL) in China. This renewed collaboration includes the continuation of the 4+1, 1+1, and 1+1+1 program pathways, which allow students to pursue joint studies between Leeds and NWUPL.
“Renewing these agreements with NWUPL is a testament to the strong academic partnership between our institutions,” said Dr George Zhou, Co-Director of Internationalisation at the School of Law. “These programs not only open doors for students to gain diverse, international perspectives but also strengthen our commitment to delivering world-class, cross-border legal education that prepares students to thrive in a globalised legal landscape.”
A signing ceremony held on 10 October, 2024, in the School of Law at the Liberty Building, marked the renewal. The event was attended by Professor Hai-sui Yu, Interim Vice-Chancellor, Dr Adam Tyson, Pro-Dean of International for the Faculty of Social Sciences, Professor Louise Ellison, Head of the School of Law, and distinguished representatives from NWUPL, including Professor Ronggan Zhang, Vice President of NWUPL.
These renewed agreements reaffirm our commitment to fostering international academic exchange and providing enriched learning opportunities for students across borders.
