Ghana deaf education project team interviewed on 'Disability Focus'

Radio Windy Bay hosts a weekly advocacy radio programme called 'Disability Focus', on which the Ghana deaf education project team were interviewed.

The radio programme aims to educate and inform students and staff at the University of Education, Winneba, on matters of disability, access and inclusion. Topics discussed on the show cover issues of disability from different perspectives including law, education, social life, health, welfare, and security.

When interviewed on the programme, the Ghana project team (Dr Dani Fobi and Dr Yaw Offei) talked about the team’s research into the early education and support for young deaf children and their caregivers as well as the findings and impact plans for the project. The show was fully interpreted in Ghanaian Sign Language.
