Centre for Curriculum, Pedagogy and Policy seminar series: Core Maths

This seminar takes a look at findings from our three-year mixed methods project examining the successes of and challenges facing Core Maths, a new addition to Level 3 mathematics provision.

We assess what our findings so far reveal about the value of this relatively new set of post-16 qualifications, and consider whether or not it is likely to contribute to the government’s policy aspiration for all students to continue studying some maths beyond GCSE.

Speakers: Matt Homer, Rachel Mathieson, Innocent Tasara and Indira Banner, School of Education, University of Leeds.
