EduCop

A one-day Climate Conference for secondary school pupils.

EduCop has been carefully designed to align with lessons in the Year 11 curriculum ‘Have climate conferences made a positive impact?’. Looking into how COP meetings allow countries to negotiate climate action and set goals such as global emission reduction targets, how COP meetings can help to ensure that all nations have a voice in shaping climate solutions, exploring the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement, and learning about the impacts of active citizenship through protests and citizen assemblies and how this helps influence climate action.

Groups of year 10 and 11 students have been invited from three schools to take part in this one-day Climate Conference which aims to align with the National Curriculum through interactive sessions, teaching, and speeches organised by students from the School of Education
