Language teachers from around the world share their experience

The Centre for Language Education Research (CLER) has reached out to language teachers around the world to curate a collection of stories and experiences about lockdown.

These narratives help to understand how the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting the lives of language teachers as they strive to support children, young people and adults from diverse backgrounds.

The project was led by Professor Maggie Kubanyiova and interviews were conducted by academics from across CLER. Its intention is to drive active conversation about the role of language education in building inclusive societies in global lockdown and beyond.

We would like to thank the 19 teachers who volunteered to share their stories.
