ICKLE project publishes interim reports
The ICKLE project tracks the impact of the disruption to schooling during the Covid-19 lockdown.
The project focuses on children’s progress in key foundation skills from reception to year one, and analyses how factors related to school, home, and children themselves may affect this development.
School of Education’s Dr Paula Clarke, Associate Professor in Psychological Approaches to Childhood and Inclusive Education, Dr Matt Homer, Associate Professor, and Dr Rachel Mathieson, Research Fellow, are involved with the project.
The project has published three interim reports which provide insights into schools’ learning provision, caregiver experiences of home learning, and children’s progress during the first lockdown, in spring 2020.
