Research from Professor Neil Morris and Dr Bronwen Swinnerton cited in UK Parliament POST report
During the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a rapid switch to distance learning.
Distance learning is described as “a way of studying without the learner being physically present in a classroom. It can be fully remote or ‘blended’ with in-person learning and is now usually underpinned by the use of digital technologies and resources”. The UK Parliament POST report explores what the current trends in distance learning are and what could be expected in the future.
The report cites research from School of Education academics, Professor Neil Morris, Chair in Educational Technology, Innovation and Change, and Dr Bronwen Swinnerton, Senior Research Fellow in Digital Education, as well as research conducted as part of the Centre for Research in Digital Education’s project ‘The Unbundled University’.
