BREXIT: What's left of British Democracy?
- Date: Thursday 17 October 2019, 16:00 – 17:30
- Location: Roger Stevens LT 21 (8M.21)
- Cost: Free
In this event we look past the daily arguments for 'Leave', 'Remain', 'Deal 'and 'No Deal' to instead reflect on what the impact of the current Brexit process has been on the British political system.
Has it damaged or enhanced democratic engagement? What has the impact been on parliament and the constitution? Are we really witnessing historic changes? These questions and more will be discussed by staff, students and guest speakers in an informal context.
Join us for tea, coffee and cake at the first School of Politics and International Studies (POLIS) community event of the academic year – no need to book a place, just turn up.
