The School of Politics and Internationl Studies, University of Leeds will be host to the 2014 Association for Legal and Social Philosophy Annual Conference.

Jenny Saul (Sheffield) 'Dogwhistles and Political Manipulation'

Jeff Spinner-Halev (UNC) 'Misunderstanding Markets: The role of injustice in theories of distributive justice'

Research into theories of justice has been exhaustively pursued within political theory in recent decades, but research on the distinctiveness of theories of injustice is an emerging field. We host 90 papers in parallel sessions addressing the theme of injustice and other topics in legal, social and political theory and philosophy, including equality, political realism, liberalism, environmental ethics, global justice, the ethics of war, punishment.
