White Rose DTC Socio-legal Summer School

We offer five introductions to socio-legal methods by academics from the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York, combined with some interactive activities.

As one element of common training for PhD students in the framework of the ESRC White Rose Doctoral Training Consortium, the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York will be offering a one day training workshop for PhD researchers. This workshop is aimed at PhD researchers with a socio-legal agenda. We use a wide notion of “socio-legal”, encompassing researchers with a law background who are interested in the impact of law on societies, polities and economies, as well as those with a sociological, political science or economic background whose research requires them to dive into law.

Researching on the intersections of different disciplines can be challenging. This one day summer school aims to support you in your research. We offer five introductions to socio-legal methods by academics from the Universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York, combined with some interactive activities. For this reason, the number of participants is limited to 20.
