Partnerships for Climate Action in the North

Regional MPs and researchers come together to discuss climate action in Yorkshire and the Humber in this online event, organised by POLIS PGR Ruth Bookbinder and hosted by the Priestley Centre.

In light of a new set of measures to 'level-up' the North, there is a need to ensure that regional development aligns with the UK government's campaigns ahead of COP26 to strengthen societal resilience to climate change and reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. People and place are at the heart of this transition.

This event will involve an online discussion between regional MPs and University of Leeds researchers to discuss opportunities for partnerships on climate action and implementing the COP26 agenda in Yorkshire and the Humber. See the full details and register via Eventbrite.

This webinar is part of Connecting Voices for Climate Action, a week of events convened by the University of Leeds to build local to global ambition for COP26 and beyond. We hope to see you at some of the other events.

This event is organised by POLIS Postgraduate Researcher and Centre for Democratic Engagement member Ruth Bookbinder in collaboration with the Priestley Centre and the University’s COP26 Task Force.
