Dr Lata Narayanaswamy invited to give evidence to a Parliamentary Select Committee Inquiry

The Parliamentary Select Committee Inquiry took place during the afternoon on 25 May 2021.

The International Development Committee discussed the philosophy and culture of aid, focussing on the structure of the aid sector, racism in the aid sector and diversity and inclusion.

Dr Lata Narayanaswamy, Associate Professor in the Politics of Global Development, delivered oral evidence to the committee. Dr Narayanaswamy discussed the role colonialism played in shaping the aid sector, how power is distributed within the sector and whether the aid sector is open to having conversations about racism.
