'Enabling Youth-Led Social Change': insights from 'Non-formal Education for Youth-led Change'

Final ‘Non-formal Education for Youth-led Change’ event: a panel discussion on Ethiopia and Bangladesh and Myanmar findings, report launch, and breakout rooms to explore NFE impacts & sustainability.

The University of Leeds and the British Council invite you to participate in the final event of the Non-Formal Education for Youth-Led Change project, where we will explore the role of non-formal education( NFE) for youth-led change across Ethiopia, Bangladesh, and Myanmar.

The event will be an engaging and informative session featuring a panel discussion focused on the project's findings and the feasibility studies conducted in Ethiopia and Bangladesh and the project conducted alongside in Myanmar. Panellists will include in-country researchers Mohammod Moninoor Roshid (Bangladesh) and Kumilachew Siferaw Anteneh (Ethiopia) as well as British council Matthew Sheader (Myanmar). Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in Q&A with the panellists.

During this event, we will launch the comprehensive report detailing these findings, providing insights into the impacts and sustainability of non-formal education in the respective contexts.

Participants will have the opportunity to join breakout rooms, facilitating in-depth discussions on the impacts of NFE and exploring strategies for its sustainability. This interactive format aims to encourage collaboration and share best practices among stakeholders in the field.

Panel Discussion

Hear from expert researchers in Ethiopia, Bangladesh, and Myanmar as they present the key findings on the role of NFE in empowering youth-led change. There will also be an opportunity for Q&A.

Breakout Sessions

Participate in group discussions to explore the impact, challenges, and sustainability of NFE programmes. Share experiences, discuss best practices, and explore innovative approaches for empowering youth in diverse contexts.

Report Launch

The final project report will be launched, showcasing in-depth findings and actionable recommendations on how nonformal education empowers youth to drive sustainable social change, and peacebuilding.
