Transfer success for Centre for Criminal Justice Studies postgraduate researchers!

The Centre for Criminal Justice Studies (CCJS) is delighted to announce that three postgraduate researchers (PGRs) have successfully completed their first-year transfers.
Mozhgan Azimiyan's research is centred around developing a Feminist Criminology for Iran. Addressing the gendered dimensions of crime, offending, and victimisation in Iranian mainstream criminology and the criminal justice system, her research is focused upon fostering feminist perspectives on crime and social control in Iran.

James Young
James Young is investigating the conceptual position of Paedophile Hunters within broader criminological frameworks and their relationship with the criminal justice system. His research aims to contribute to the development of theory in the areas of vigilantism, policing, and justice.
Saad Alahmad
Saad Alahmad's research focuses on police training and education in Saudi Arabia. It aims to highlight various training approaches, how they are conceived and operationalised, and their influence on police officers’ acquisition of soft skills and approaches to community policing. Through his research, Saad seeks to enhance understanding of how training impacts police professionalisation and community policing in Saudi Arabia.
Dr Ali Malik, co-Deputy Director of the Centre for Criminal Justice Studies says:
On behalf of the Centre, I would like to extend a hearty congratulations to Mozhgan, James, and Saad. PGRs make a vital contribution to our research community at CCJS. These showcased research projects not only highlight the breadth of topics researched at the Centre but also demonstrate the strong potential for our PGRs to inform policy and practice on an international scale.
