Exploring Global Legal Perspectives: A Visit from Universitas Sebelas Maret Law Faculty

On Friday, 8 March 2024,  the School was delighted to welcome a delegation of staff and students from the law faculty of Universitas Sebelas Maret, one of the leading universities  in Indonesia.

The delegation was led by the Dean of the law faculty, Professor Dr I Gusti Ayu Ketut Rachmi Handayani, who was warmly greeted by our own Head of School, Professor Louise Ellison, and Dr Trevor Clark. 

During the visit, School of Law academics discussed with Professor Ayu and her colleagues various avenues for potential research collaboration and student exchange, whilst the students were treated to a lecture by Dr Adam Baker on the law of trusts.

The delegation was then taken on a tour of the campus led by our student ambassadors. The visit was topped off with an informal networking lunch.

The School of Law looks forward to further developing our ties with the law faculty of Universitas Sebelas Maret.
