Dr Or Brook releases groundbreaking new publication
Dr Brook’s new book is a comprehensive study of judicial review in EU and UK competition law.
Dr Or Brook and her co-writers are thrilled to announce the release of Judicial Review of Competition Law Enforcement in the EU Member States and the UK, a groundbreaking publication providing a detailed, comparative study of judicial review in competition law enforcement across Europe and the UK.
Although national courts are the primary forum for the application of EU law, very few studies have empirically examined their operation in practice and their impact on the enforcement of EU and UK competition law.
This first-of-its-kind analysis presents findings from over 5,700 judicial review judgments, offering unparalleled insights into competition law enforcement.
Additionally, a free, open-access website accompanies the book, featuring all datasets, methodologies, and project details for further exploration. This resource aims to support scholars, practitioners, and policymakers in understanding judicial oversight of competition law across jurisdictions.
Dr Or Brook has led this project, together with Professor Barry Rodger. The dataset and book are the result of a collective effort of 28 national teams of experts across Europe and more than four years in the making.
Their findings may be of interest to scholars and policymakers in the field of competition law.
Moreover, the database may facilitate further research and assessment by competition law authorities, national courts, practitioners and researchers.
Congratulations to Dr Brook and her co-writers on the publication of this important book!
