School of Law to ‘Go the Extra Mile for Justice’

In place of the 2020 Legal Walk, The Access to Justice Foundation has organised a nationwide online fundraising challenge called 'Go the Extra Mile for Justice'.

The School of Law has signed up to The Access to Justice Foundation’s ‘Go the Extra Mile for Justice’. Funds raised will go towards supporting free legal advice services across our region who are most in need. The Foundation's target is to reach 20,000 miles by the end of 2020 and the School hope to clock up many miles of this total.

The School’s Community Engagement Activities Co-ordinator Niamh Byrne said “We hope it will be an excellent community building activity for the entire school (staff and students), whilst also supporting a great cause. Everyone in the School can be involved and we hope to get lots of interest. We can’t wait to share the distance we have achieved as a school by December and will be keeping our @LeedsUniProBono Twitter page and LawSoc/CrimSoc social media pages updated as we go!”

If you have any questions or would like to know more about the School’s involvement, please email lawcommunityengagement@leeds.ac.uk.

You can also support the cause by donating any amount you wish to the School’s fundraising page.
