Postgraduate Research Students’ Conference

This conference provides postgraduate research students at the Centre for Criminal Justice Studies (CCJS) with the opportunity to present papers drawing on their PhD studies.

The conference showcases some of the research CCJS students are currently engaged in, as well as offering a supportive environment where students can receive feedback from staff and students on the ideas and arguments presented.

In total, eleven students will present papers on a range of criminological and criminal justice topics. The broad themes to be discussed at the conference include Cybercrime, Terrorism, Policing and International Governance.

The conference will also feature 'A Taste of CCJS!', where a selection of international refreshments and local dishes will be brought in by CCJS members from their native countries/ regions to showcase the cultural diversity of the Centre.

The plenary address for the conference is to be given by Professor Shadd Maruna, Director for the Institute of Criminology and Criminal Justice in the School of Law at Queen’s University, Belfast.  

The conference will be followed by a Wine Reception, and the CCJS Annual Meal.
