Women Breaking Barriers inaugural lecture: Phillippa Kaufman QC

Phillippa will be discussing various high points from her time at the bar and also addressing the skills she thinks helped her juggle her personal and professional life.

We have been lucky enough to secure Phillippa Kaufmann QC Silk as our first speaker for the Women Breaking Barriers Group. Phillippa took silk in 2011 and her expertise span the public and private law arenas. She was awarded ‘Human Rights and Public Law Silk of the Year’ at the 2014 Chambers Bar Awards and has been involved with litigation against the Ministry of Defence and Foreign and Commonwealth Office arising from abuse by British forces following the war in Iraq. She successfully juggles her demanding career and family life and has two school age children.

Phillippa will be discussing various high points from her time at the bar and also addressing the skills she thinks helped her juggle her personal and professional life. There will be an opportunity for attendees to ask Phillippa any questions after the talk over refreshments.

We are extremely excited to be hosting such an influential speaker for our inaugural event and would be delighted if you could attend.
