Staff team up for Parkinson's UK

During July staff from the Law School have been involved in two charity events – firstly walking the Three Yorkshire Peaks and the Tough Mudder obstacle course, raising money for Parkinson's UK.

This very testing challenge was initially inspired by two students (Katie Main Wilson and Samantha Wiggins) to raise money in aid of Parkinson’s UK.

Professor Nick Taylor (Director of Student Education in the Law School) was immensely proud of the fundraising efforts. “As someone who has Parkinson’s, this charity is very close to my heart and it is fantastic that students, friends and colleagues are so willing to do so much to raise money.”

The current total raised by the so called ‘Peaky Mudders’ is already over £2600 and adds further funds to other activities this year such as the Leeds to Malaysia virtual bike ride, charity bakes and the now famous Law’s Got Talent.
