Making it to the Registers: a migrant healthcare workers' story

Following from last year’s ‘Migration journeys’ event, this year the Centre for Law & Social Justice is hosting 'Making it to the Registers: a migrant healthcare workers' story'.

The three short films feature conversations around the graphic novel Making it to the Registers. Professionals, researchers and artists discuss the challenges faced by refugee nurses and doctors, and document the co-creation of a graphic novel based on their experiences.

The screening will be followed by an interactive discussion with overseas-trained nurse Nelson Enah.

The films are part of the research project, Making it to the Registers: Documenting Migrant Carers’ Experiences of Registration and Fitness to Practise, funded by the AHRC. Directed by Daisy Street Films.
