School of Education - Learning at the Intersection of Language and the Arts

Learning at the Intersection of Language and the Arts (LILA) is an international research network supported by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), which brings together a variety of academic and non-academic participants to consider the relationship between language and the creative arts (visual arts, drama and performance, dance, music, poetry, film, and more) for learning.

LILA has emerged from, and builds upon, work in the AILA Creative Inquiry and Applied Linguistics Research Network.

The project is led by Dr Lou Harvey (School of Education, University of Leeds), in partnership with Dr Emilee Moore and Dr Cristina Aliagas from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
