POLIS Postgraduate Conference 2016: culture and norms, societies in transition, and narratives & discourses

The main topics of discussion will be research interests and current projects.

The event is open to all interested staff and students. Our panels will discuss their research interests and current projects, and offer valuable insights into the broader topic. We encourage an atmosphere in which all can be involved, and will be opening up discussions at the end of each panel discussion. A brief timetable is provided below:

10.00 - 12.00 - Panel 1: Culture and norms

12.00 - 13.00 - Lunch

13.00 - 15.00 - Panel 2: Societies in transition

15.00 - 15.30 - Tea break & discussions

15.30 - 17.30 - Panel 3: Narratives and discourses

This conference has been organised by postgraduate students from POLIS, and it is particularly suitable for students at all levels across the Faculty of Social Sciences. However, all students and staff are welcome.

You will have the opportunity to network with staff and PhD students, as well as discussing fieldwork and broader academic topics.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
