Teaching award success for School of Education PGRs

Three School of Education PGRs have achieved the PRiSE award and Associate Fellowship of Advance HE, recognising their commitment to excellence in teaching and student education.

As part of its commitment to providing high-quality educational experiences for students and professional development opportunities for postgraduate researchers, the School of Education runs a Teaching Assistant (TA) scheme. The scheme enables PGRs to gain valuable teaching experience while developing their confidence and skills as educators.

This year, Ana Karen Reyes Bailon, Durdona Karimova, and Megan Stock have each completed the Professional Recognition in Student Education (PRiSE) award. The programme supports participants in critically reflecting on their professional practice, enhancing their pedagogical approaches and evidencing their contribution to student education.

In addition to recognising their achievements as educators, successful completion of the award grants Associate Fellowship of Advance HE, a nationally recognised professional accreditation for those involved in teaching and supporting learning in higher education.

The achievement reflects the dedication and professionalism of Ana Karen, Durdona and Megan, as well as the School’s ongoing commitment to nurturing teaching excellence among its postgraduate community.

Through initiatives such as the Teaching Assistant scheme and support for professional recognition, the School of Education continues to invest in the development of future educators, ensuring that postgraduate researchers are equipped with the skills, experience and recognition to make a positive impact on student learning.
