THE World University Rankings 2026
Times Higher Education’s world university rankings have now been released for 2026. Here we explore how the School of Education has scored.
Recognising the continued success of the School of Education, the Times Higher Education (THE) have placed the school in 84th place worldwide for education studies. This places the school in 11th for Education studies in the UK, a leap up by five places from last years’ results.
The school received a score of 57.1 overall, a small increase from the previous year, representing the hard work and commitment which has been upheld by the staff and students within the school.
Research quality, which is scored on citation impact, research strength, research excellence, and influence, for the work produced within the school received a score of 81.5, toppling last years results where the school received, a still respectable, 78.2.
Research quality
International outlook within the school was recognised in the THE results, accounting for international students, staff and co-authorship, and scored 90.8. This, once again, shows further continued progress for the school.
