Centre for Curriculum, Pedagogy and Policy seminar series: The new Ofsted inspection framework

The accountability system used to judge England’s schools is changing. HM Chief Inspector of Schools says that too much emphasis on exam results has put pressure on schools to deliver test scores.

From September 2019, a new inspection framework will be used with a much greater emphasis on the curriculum. This seminar looks at the latest stage of development of the new framework, the focus on the curriculum, and the implications for schools – and for inspectors.

Speaker: Mick Walker, former Executive Director of the Qualifications & Curriculum Development Agency and Postgraduate Researcher, University of Leeds
