Research collaborations with civil society partners

A lunchtime discussion looking at academic-civil society research partnerships.

This lunch seminar will look at academic-civil society research partnerships, with a presentation from Sorcha Mahony (Senior Researcher, The Children’s Society) and Gill Main (Associate Professor, School of Education) on their experiences of a long-term collaboration, followed by time for questions and a discussion. Sorcha and Gill have most recently collaborated on Gill’s ESRC project, Fair Shares and Families – and have collaborated on several projects in the past under The Children’s Society poverty and well-being research programmes. Sorcha has experience of collaborating with a wide range of academic partners and will offer insights into the expectations, hopes, rewards and challenges which arise for civil society organisations in partnering with academics.

A light lunch will be provided.

If you’d like to attend, please email J.Ukkonen@leeds.ac.uk with any dietary requirements.
