This work package will focus specifically on examining the potential geopolitical implications of Solar Radiation Modification (SRM) research and deployment. The work package team will mobilise a network of researchers and policy experts to co-create and run simulations designed to investigate decision-making in non-ideal scenarios and shed light on the global geopolitical challenges that may be posed by SRM. The work package will complement the broader SAFEGEOGOV project by providing higher resolution data on and analysis of competitive or non-cooperative mindsets and approaches that may inform the behavior of decision-makers and key actors.
