Invitation to participate and contribute to the 14th Research Students' Education Conference (RSEC). This year, our conference theme is Ethics and Educational Research: challenges and solutions.
Every researcher has a unique relationship with ethical questions. What's yours like? Take part in RSEC 2020 and describe how you’ve negotiated with research ethics in your own project.
The one-day conference offers postgraduate students an excellent opportunity to hone your presentation skills and receive feedback from a supportive audience of your peers and academic staff. This year our theme deals with research ethics.
Our guest speaker is Dr Janet Holt, who is an Associate Professor at the School of Healthcare Studies at the University of Leeds. She is also a member of the Ethics Committee of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN). She was appointed Chair of this committee in 2013 and represents the RCN on the Ethics Committee of the British Medical Association. Janet is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and was awarded a University Learning and Teaching Fellowship in 2011. She is also a reviewer for a number of healthcare journals, and is interested in research ethics, having been an expert member and Chair of Bradford Leeds Health Research Authority Research Ethics Committee.
We invite 250-word abstracts for 15-minute presentations and/or poster proposals accompanied by a brief biographical note. Work-in- progress ideas are absolutely welcome from PGRs, Master’s students, and Research Staff in the School of Education.
The conference will be held on Friday April 24th, 2020 in University House, at the University of Leeds. Deadline for submissions is 9th January 2020, at 12 noon. For submissions, please email Giorgia: email@example.com
Please watch out for registration details, to be available in January.
