Postgraduate researchers showcase impact at Educator’s Breakfast
Postgraduate researchers in the School of Education had an opportunity to support partnership work at the Educator’s Breakfast this June.
This annual event brings together a wide range of regional educational stakeholders, and our PhD and EdD researchers were able expand the reach of their research beyond academic audiences to teachers, school leadership, and other partners through poster presentations and networking.
As a vital part of the research culture of the school, PGRs have ample opportunity to showcase their own work and develop their public engagement portfolio by working on teaching, research and community projects that were on display here, including the pupil-focussed climate education conference EduCOP, the ‘Degree in a Day’ and Junior Detectives programmes for school students.

One part-time PhD student shared that,
The breakfast was a brilliant opportunity to showcase my work to a broader educational audience. I had some really thought-provoking conversations with educators working in a variety of contexts, and it was also great to see work being done by lots of other PGRs in the school.
