Dr. Anne-Sophie Jung

Profile

I joined POLIS in 2022 from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. My research focuses on global governance (for health) and health systems.

Combining International Relations and Public Health, I study the international politics of health, health systems and systems strengthening, and One Health approaches. I am interested in critical IR theory, including decolonial studies and feminist thought in global health. I hold a PhD in International Relations from the University of Sussex.

I have worked as a global health consultant with the World Health Organization, the corporate sector, and NGOs on topics such as antimicrobial resistance, COVID-19, and the international politics of health data and diseases surveillance. I am currently editorial board member for the Journal of Health and Migration.
