What motivated you to apply to study for a foundation course and why did you choose Leeds?
I’m 20 and I’m from London. I wanted to go to university but didn’t have the grades to get in due to certain circumstances in my life at the time. I found out about the foundation year, saw that it related to my interest and had heard that Leeds was an interesting and fun city to live in.
What do you think of your course, have there been any particular highlights for you?
The highlight of the course is the amount of support available. It is a really good introduction to university.
How have you found the online learning so far?
Personally, I’ve enjoyed it because it allows me to structure my days better.
How would you describe the help and guidance provided by the staff within the School?
Helpful and understanding.
How would you describe the facilities at the University?
The libraries are nice, especially if you get your own study space. The refectory’s also a very nice place to study.
Since starting at the university have you been granted any scholarships?
I’ve been a given a bursary.
Have you been involved in extra-curricular activities?
Yes I have been involved with the Filmmaking society.
