The BeneLex project on fair and equitable benefit-sharing in global environmental law takes an inter-disciplinary approach.
The BeneLex project on fair and equitable benefit-sharing in global environmental law takes an inter-disciplinary approach, examining benefit-sharing from the perspective of international law but also turning its focus to the local level. Using a methodological approach that seeks to combine international law, international relations, political sociology and political ecology, the project seeks to unpack fair and equitable benefit-sharing from the viewpoint of local communities. This presentation will discuss some of the project's findings and the challenges of inter-disciplinarity.
