Profile

My Ph.D. thesis (awaiting viva, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Ottawa, Canada) was focused on studying human movement in high density and vertical cities like Singapore. During my Ph.D., I also worked as a researcher with Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa from 2022 to 2024. I graduated with a master’s degree (2017) in Aerospace Engineering from the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany, and Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore and bacherlor’s degree (2013) in Aerospace Engineering from Hindustan University, India. I previously  worked as a researcher at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) from 2016 to 2021 and and as a project officer in 2015 at the NTU, Singapore.

Research interests

Currently, I model and study social norms as a network, with a path towards studying tipping points in social norm networks using Generative Agent Based Modelling (applications towards climate change adaptation). My research interests include studying (spatial, social, co-presence, and organisational ) and modelling (social norms) networks under the field of Network Science. I also study how people move in high density cities (and integrated developments) like Singapore under the field of Human Mobility, especially focusing on human movement in all three physical dimensions (horizontal and vertical).  My other interests include studying wireless sensor data behavior and developing machine learning frameworks with applications to human activity recognition. My works broadly come under the field of Computational Social Sciences and Complex Systems, where I use computational sciences to study social phenomenon.
