Dr. Anne-Sophie Jung

Profile

I joined POLIS in 2022 from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. My research focuses on the international politics of health, health systems, and antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

Combining International Relations and Public Health, I study the politics of and governance approaches to AMR, pandemic readiness, health system resilience, and One Health. I am interested in critical IR theory, including decolonial studies and feminist thought in global health. I hold a PhD in International Relations from the University of Sussex.

I have worked as a global health consultant with the World Health Organization, the World Bank, the corporate sector, NGOs, and global philanthropic organisations on topics such as AMR, COVID-19, mental health, healthz societies, and maternal, newborn, and child health. I am currently editorial board member for the Journal of Health and Migration.
