Dr Honeyman discusses Parliament’s Syria debates on BBC Radio Leeds

Dr Victoria Honeyman discussed the House of Commons debates that lead to MPs voting in favour of the UK joining US-led air strikes in Syria.

Speaking on Martin Kelner’s show on BBC Radio Leeds she discussed the 10 hour long debates which led to the voting.

She discussed the Labour party’s division over the motion, commenting on how this will affect Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership. She also discussed the strong speech made by Hilary Benn, Labour MP for Leeds Central, who challenged his leader and voted for the motion.
