Jack Holland interview on Donald Trump on BBC Breakfast
Dr Jack Holland was interviewed by BBC Breakfast at the weekend talking about Donald Trump and his new role as President.
Jack commented that there will be important constraints on what Trump can and can’t do as president, which is important since he is not a normal president-elect.
In Trump’s first interview he was surrounded by his immediate family, something which Jack comments should hopefully change in the future, with Trump hopefully surrounded by those with a background in running the country.
Jack drew comparison between Donald Trump and George W Bush, two US presidents with relatively little experience running a country. Neither have had military experience or experience of foreign affairs. Jack also raises the point that since winning the election many of Trump’s foreign policy statements, such as building a wall, are seeming unlikely to become reality.
