POLIS Research Seminar Series online: looking back at Autumn 2020
The POLIS Research Seminar Series has been hosting weekly online seminars this semester, showcasing the breadth of research in the School. Catch up on seminars to date with the video recordings below.
Professor Jocelyn Evans, Director of Research and Innovation in POLIS, reflects on this term’s seminar series:
“I’ve been delighted with the variety and quality of the seminar papers we’ve seen so far this semester. The presentations to date really do showcase the breadth of intellectual endeavour across researchers in POLIS.
“I’m particularly happy that we have been able to include so many presentations by our PGRs and recent graduates. The School seminar series is designed to give researchers at all career stages the opportunity to present their work at whatever stage it has reached – from initial draft chapters, through final R&Rs, to launching the final manuscript.
“The online medium seems to have raised the profile of the series beyond that of its face-to-face predecessor. I think we’re likely to keep a virtual element to the proceedings even when normal service is resumed.”
